Pattaya: Tourist police find no Covid lawbreaking in PR drive Saturday - some on beach told to move on

Thai media 77kaoded reported that a contingent of tourist police headed by Major Somboon Euasamanmaitri went to Walking Street and the beach in Pattaya to make sure that all Covid-19 rules were being followed on Saturday night.

 

Major Somboon reported complete compliance with the closure orders in Walking Street but warned operators that the police would prosecute lawbreakers if they opened.

 

Chonburi province is now a Red Zone where pubs, bars, clubs and soapy massage have all been ordered shut.

The cops - one on a Segway and others with masks and rubber gloves - were pictured having a friendly chat with some massage ladies. 

 

After Walking Street the cops went to the beach where some Thai tourists gathered in groups were asked to move on.

 

In other measures restaurants are to close by 9pm, no alcohol is to be served and gatherings of 50 up are banned.

Soapy massage should be allowed to be opened. They followed the covid guidelines on washing your hands and more.

1 on a segway and the others with gloves and facemask ,so i geuss in the red zones the government will ask the people to wear masks keep distance wash hands AND drive a segway .

Likely none but if you are a hiso cop giving up a Saturday night of partying with other hisos, it makes you feel better if you can throw your weight around and order a few plebs around  to show who's boss.

Simply gathering has  been mentioned, and the beaches and parks can only be used for exercise purposes. This wave is far more serious than the previous 2. April 2020 is dwarfed by April 2021.
