Process to sell a car

Featured Replies

Hi, I have car/truck that I want to sell before leaving the country. I currently have a work permit which will

expiry on April 30 th  2021.  My visa is good until September 2021.

I have read on tweeter that 2 people I follow were not allowed to sell and get money for their cars, after their work permit

had expired.

Question 1 : Is it true you need a work permit to sell the car ? Means I need to sell in 10 days.

2:  Can someone explain the process to sell and transfer to new buyer ? Is there tax to be paid ? I will sell to a friend

at a lower price on paper and take cash for balance,  It is a SUV , about 10 years old.

Thanks,

1.  Don't know or heard about selling with WP thought it was only for buying if you buying though a finance company.

2.  Selling is easy just go with your friend with ID's and the blue book to the DLT office and fill out a paperwork form you'll need Thai readers help.
