I wonder has the Thai press been making a scapegoat of different social groups?

I'm aware of the alleged Hi-So group who have been blamed recently in the nightclub scene mainly in Bangkok.

Have for example teenagers been listed as ignoring the dangers, going out drinking and socialising in groups etc. Or has anyone read say, of groups of older locals who blatantly ignore instructions to wear a face mask and won't 'socially distance'?

People are social creatures.  We don't do well in isolation, so when there is a medical situation that requires isolation, it has to be mandated.

Those who are the most entitled are big violators of rules and the other group is the young.   If the bars and nightclubs are open, they WILL go and they will drink, dance, party and everything that goes with it.  It's part of how the youth are.   They are invincible.

The guy renting the house opposite me is a part-owner of one of the LK Metro area Gogo Bars. Since the bars were ordered to shut, he's now holding a party by his swimming pool for his mates who are fellow bar owners (though mostly from Soi 6 rather than Gogoland). I assume on the nights that he's not there partying, he's at one of the other owners' houses getting pished. Given that the majority of the recent cases have been centred on entertainment venues, I'd say there's a strong chance that they're all infected by now, though they're all young and healthy so are probably asymptomatic, or else only have  minor symptoms.  I'm in my mid-60's with pre-existing health problems, so I'm keeping well away from them.

And I used to be 10 foot tall and bullet proof after a couple of drinks so nothing has changed.

The most 'Irrisponsible Group' in this part of the world are not the generals or super rich. It's the Thai border guards at the Cambo. borders who brought it all upon us ......
This is NOT an oppinion!

Only at the Cambo borders?? What about the Burmese borders which started off the "second" wave?

Are we still not waiting for the unelected "PM"s findings which he promised but so far has not delivered?

Do you actually expect Mr. Talk-a-lot-do-nothing to follow through on that?

In Chiang Mai students were blamed for starting the cluster there by going out drinking in "pubs" and bars to celebrate finishing their exams.

Still waiting for him to restore happiness to the Thai people, as promised.  Those dreadful songs he pretended he wrote himself didn't quite cut it.

Talking about 'following through' make me think you're talking about Prawit not Prayut.
