Yeah, AC/DC is more heavy metal than rock n' roll.

bwahahahahahahaha.

Bands like Slayer, Anthrax, Metallica and Megadeath etc etc are "heavy metal".

AC/DC definitely is not.

I agree. I'd never listen to them if they were, but they are one of my favourite bands. They ain't rock and roll though.

so that makes it heavy metal ?

the singer shouts more than he actually sings.

not so sure why it is so important to you to put a label on it.

people take music quite seriously. following a certain type of music is like being in a cult, it seems.

Right, ok so if a singer shouts it is heavy metal.

On the drive home today I stumbled across a song by Ice T/Body Count, it was a cover of Slayer's Raining In Blood.... simply brilliant song and an amazing cover.

Thats metal !!

AC/DC class themselves in the rock and roll/hard rock genre.

Ok.

Personally, I think people should pay more attention to lyrics of songs.

Rather than just "the song sounds cool" ... but maybe that's just me.

Ha ha. Not necessarily.

Ok, AD/DC is country music then!

You're just being silly. AC DC isn't pop or rock and roll, and it isn't heavy metal, but there are so many "types" of music now that I have no idea of what it is.

I have only 2 categories of music- songs I like and songs I don't. Most of AC DC I like.

IMO if one can't do rock and roll dancing to it, it isn't rock and roll. No idea what hard rock is, but it sounds more fitting.

Well yes you could "rock and roll" dance at an AC/DC concert, you might have beer bottles thrown at you though.

I'm pretty sure AC DC's music isn't conforming to rock and roll moves, so if one did try and rock and roll to it one might deserve a few bottles in one's direction.
