Using Agent at Immigration - good idea?
Starting a separate thread for this here. FIRST let me be clear: I am NOT talking about using an agent to obtain visas/extensions/permissions (or anything else) in violation of the law, such as where the applicant lacks the proper qualifications. I AM talking about using an agent to go and facilitate processing of a legitimate transaction in circumstances where it is inconvenient or impossible for the applicant to do it him/herself. For example, an applicant needs something but due to work/family/illness/travel or other obstacles is unable to make the time to organize the application and/or be physically present. Some people seem to think using an agent is risky. But they may be thinking of the first case (illegitimate transactions). How about in the second case (legitimate transactions) - is there really any downside other than the agent's fee? Personally I've never used one, been here a long time and I prefer to do all this stuff myself. But there may be a situation coming up where it's very inconvenient for me so ... -

Taxation of worldwide income for Thailand Tax Residents?
The royal decree works for the LTR so that remitted funds from foreign earnings are not taxed. What the new decree will change is anyone's guess but it does appear that the finance folks are looking for any possible funds to make up for a possible big shortage on collection this year which ends in September 2025. -

Maga/Trump's big ugly bill set to kick 14 million Americans off their health care coverage
Why do you bother to reply with more nonsense and half-truths? Everyone knows your stance on all that the President does. You never look at anything objectively or try to see how anything done could benefit Americans. You only use your half-truths to further push your hate agenda. That is why people laugh at your comments so much. Trump did not trash anything. He tried to help end the war but first zelenski refused and then russia. You can bring a horse to water but can not make him drink. Yes, the people who voted for Trump did so knowing he would make tariffs. It was part of his campaign. He has not made any fascist agenda and is a Dem lie. I also could go on against everything you claim simply because, you only follow Dem propaganda andTrump hate rhetoric. -

That is something I was thinking of - could this be a temporary measure of something a little more permanent. -

BBC Faces Backlash Over Alleged Bias in Coverage of White Farmer Killings in South Africa
That is a good question. Considering that the first of the Boers arrived more than 350 years ago, how do you propose finding out exactly who took what land from whom? The farmers on the land today were not the ones who took it, nor are the angry blacks the ones who lost it. We are talking 10 plus generations in the past in many cases. I would love to hear how to fairly adjudicate this situation. That's a good question, and could be asked of my home country, the USA, as pertains to the American Indians and the European immigrants, or, I imagine, almost every country. I don't have a good answer, but IMO there should be some acknowledgment of how the land changed hands, and if possible, some attempt at restitution, even if it is to descendants hundreds of years later.
