90-day report deadline and departure from Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I will be leaving Thailand, for good in a few weeks, which will probably fall a few days before or after my 90-day report deadline, depending on flights and what not.

Issue is that I probably will have left my reporting base, will be dealing with red zones and tests, and not sure the online service will be operational (I've never used it).

What are the risks if I let it slide in this situation?
Is the 90-day reporting status checked on departure, and do I risk a fine for being a week late or so on the 90-day reporting as I the country leave?

Is it best to do an anticipated renewal just to be on the safe-side?

Thanks

Try it online, otherwise there will be no problem anyway. No checking on departure only if you need service from IO.

It isn't checked at the airport when departing Thailand, only your permission of stay is checked.

Immigration do not check 90 day reports on departure. You should be ok

You can do it online in the period from up to 15 days before your due date until your due date at this site:

https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do

It is only ever checked when conducting business at the immigration office.  You will have no problem leaving the country.  If you don't file a 90-Day report and you have been in Thailand for 90 or more consecutive days then if you conduct business at the immigration office you may be fined 2,000 baht for being late to file a 90-Day Report.

Once you leave the country, it's reset. You start counting 90 from the day you return.

They don't check at the airport. At the airport, the only thing there are concerned about are overstayers.

Immigration at airport will NOT check the 90 days, do not worry

Thanks everyone. It seems pretty unanimous then.

I'll try to do it online and just let it slide otherwise. Shouldn't be more than a few days anyway.

cheers
