A growing number of parliamentarians from coalition partner parties are criticizing the government’s Covid-19 response plan, adding to the mounting criticisms aimed at Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha.

 

Thailand is currently fighting its most severe wave of the Covid-19 pandemic with infection rates climbing into the quadruple digits and the death toll mounting.

 

With a vaccine program that has not yet materialized in any substantial way, and the government reticent to introduce a lockdown, opposition party members and the public have been highly critical of the government’s response.

add anutin to that list ; they are currently practicing their lies with idle promises and inaction

If and when the time comes for another election I hope people remember how much these cronies screwed up.

Interesting that Anutin is also criticising the government.  I guess he needs someone to pass the buck to. However, I recall that, in the first wave, he made a series of foot in the mouth pronouncements and then disappeared from public view, giving the impression that Prayut wanted him out of the COVID decision making process.  It seems likely that Anutin made himself such a liabililty early on that that Prayut brushed him aside but couldn't get rid of him because his party is needed for the government to continue. 

 

So what Anutin says may well be true, although it is unclear if things would be much better, if he was allowed to make decisions himself.  The main problem for Thailand is that this is an entrenched military installed government and there is no way to change the remove the PM or individual ministers backed by strong coalition partners, no matter how badly they perform. So sad for Thais that they are stuck in such an impasse.

Is he depicting the size of the wedge required to purchase a £1.50 vaccine after disbursements  ????

It wont matter as they will rig the election the same as they did the last one. The' cronies' are there for the long haul
