Curfew in Suratthani

Featured Replies

A newspaper (Thaiger) is reporting a curfew in Suratthnai from 22.00 to 04.00

I do not know if this is official yet.

Yes, this is similar. The wording says 'refrain' from leaving your home between 22.00 and 04.00 effective from 26th April, different from curfew, but who knows? TIT.

Not sure of the accuracy of this info from Samui Info by Nicha.

Happening in many other areas as well.  Waiting on todays CCSA meeting to see what else rolls out for the 5 big red zone provinces that will possibly be mimicked by the other provincial governors.  Stay safe folks.

I agree with you about the accuracy. I always try for a second official source.

This is what TAT wrote. Suratthani was on the list.

Bangkok, 28 April, 2021 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to inform travellers that a number of provinces across Thailand have been applying night-time restrictions, urging everyone to avoid going out at night unless utmost necessary, effective from now until further notice

It's not a curfew, it's a recommendation that has been ongoing for a few days already; and I cannot imagine that much of interest will happen outside at night after 10 pm, as everything is closed...????

Full news article from yesterday about staying home at night is here...

Apologies khunPer

You are correct. We should not believe what we read on the internet.
