Popular Post webfact Posted April 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2021 Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha (6th from right, front) posing for official photo with the cabinet minister following a reshuffle at the Government House in Bangkok. (Photo by Handout / ROYAL THAI GOVERNMENT / AFP) By Thai PBS World’s Business Desk The unprecedented task of pulling Thailand out of its COVID-induced economic crisis rests on the shoulders of just three men. And there are signs that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, his deputy and Energy Minister Supattanapong Punmeechaow, and Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith are feeling the pressure of their huge burden. Supattanapong recently urged consumers to draw out their bank savings and begin spending to help shore up the fragile economy hit hard by the new wave of infections. A fierce backlash followed, with Supattanapong criticized for “lacking knowledge” of managing an economy when people are suffering from falling incomes and job losses. Whose fault is it that the country is in this mess. The man himself needs to kneel down kiss the ground and wai to all of the Thai people, ask for forgiveness, resign and go into the monkhood like his best friend Suthep did. 6 minutes ago, webfact said: Supattanapong recently urged consumers to draw out their bank savings and begin spending to help shore up the fragile economy hit hard by the new wave of infections. Many have used all of their savings up you dolt. They have even cashed in their gold in order to live from day to day. Are these guys for real? 9

Danderman123 Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Given the downward trend of new cases, we will see if the doomsayers give the government any credit for slowing the plague down. If you said that cases were going to spiral out of control and it is the fault of the government, then when your prediction fails to materialize, you should give credit where credit is due. And you go the tinfoil route and claim the official figures are wrong, and that there are really many more cases, you should provide proof. And not just a couple of anecdotes. If there is a huge cover up, does it include the provinces, as well? If you provide a story of some elderly villager who was officially pronounced dead from respiratory failure, how does that reflect on the central government? 1

bangon04 Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 "Prayut and his economic team facing unprecedented test of crisis management" I suppose that deposing an elected government with a military coup was a crisis with plenty of precedent in Thailand /Siam. so the headline is somewhat true.... 1
