INN reported on a story after a Facebook post on "We'll make you famous Kim Signature" posted a video of a collision between a pick up and a motorcycle in the Phrapradaeng area of Samut Prakan.

A motorcycle was dragged under the wheels of the pick-up whose driver was drunk and attempting to flee the scene.

But after going nearly a kilometer he had to stop when the bike burst into flames and he could go no further.

Chatter was rife on Thai social media as it was suggested that the driver was saying that someone else was behind the wheel so that insurance would pay out to the victim.

The driver reportedly laughed in the face of a man and others who witnessed the accident as the Samrong Tai police dealt with the accident.

All a misunderstanding, 500 baht and a wai !!...

Was the motorcyclist ok ???

The ‘constant’ news of 'break failure', 'bus down a ravine', 'drunk driver kills’, ‘diver of fast car speeding'....  etc etc is becoming extremely tiresome....  We can go back 20 years, read a news paper and see exactly the same things happening....

...... Thailand has simply not evolved and shows that is has not cared enough about road safety to make any changes or improvements whatsoever.

It really is a shame to see so many people hurt and killed in such numbers, so often in so many avoidable incidents. If only those in positions of decision making power cared enough to really impact some change.

Apathy is a blight on this country - its such a shame to see a country I care about fail in this manner.

Laugh all the way to court... I hope they wipe the smile off.

Private jet to Singapore maybe....then just follow F1 around the world living in 5* hotels.......is that not an option open to him?

Nothing new, this happens to me more than 20 years ago in the LOS, because the driver (woman) has no DL, the kanman was coming and agree.....

as usually only part of the story... So was he arrested? Staying in jail until court? or bail? Is this his first time? did the motorcycle guy die? seriously injured???  etc. etc..
