What is the level of vaccine hesitancy among homo sapiens of the Thai persuasion?

Is anyone aware of any surveys on this question?

The Thai government (FINALLY) seems to realize that they will need to get to herd immunity percentages here, better late than never.

But for that to happen on top of having the doses, and having the systems in place to get the doses into arms, enough people need to be willing to get vaccinated.

So if there aren't any surveys to refer to perhaps people can comment on their impressions about Thai attitudes about this.

so far, everybody asks about where is vax, not how can avoid something which practically doesn't exist and chances for getting it in the future are remote and not certain.

Survey you have below in those countless threads, "where can I get vax now?", "which country I can go now to get a jab"?, "I want to move to a country with a high vax rate".

That is also an exact mood of others in thailand.

Huh?

I'm not following you.

This question is strictly about Thai people .looking for informed opinions on Thai attitudes about getting a covid vaccine.

I'm sure this is complicated by people knowing they may be stuck with less desirable brands of Sinovac and Sputnik.

Not looking for a debate about that because it's a fact.

The Chinese have admitted that Sinovac has relatively weak effectiveness and Sputnik is clearly too heavy on nationalist propaganda and weak transparency of their study results.

it's not about what national ID somebody has, but that medical problem there is now in thailand for us all. To know opinions of thai you would have to ask in thai language and not on expat boards.

your question was not what kind vax people in thailand do prefer or don't like. Nobody has a choice and probably won't ever have at the governmental health system - it would be take it or leave it. Private might have a choice, but it won't be likely soon, more like end of year. And after price drops from the initial extortionate, say 15k bht, to a reasonable 3k.

As there are no polls (except yours a few months ago about sinovac) and because opinions do have change fast, because of the growing infection, nobody knows true popular mood.

There would be almost exclusively AZ, the government said so many times. The others, if any, would be for an emergency use, like sinovac now (albeit in only 2mln doses).

The majority of sinovac was already given, without one objection, protest. Nobody cared about "facts". They were happy to have it now.

Sputnik might never come, so discussing it is pointless now. No date, quantity or price was given, just pure talk.

As to "facts", they might be changing before vax arrives to thailand. If turns out bad, thailand will have the right to withdraw from contract.

Since december the AZ started joint research mixing it with sputnik, to boost potency. Results should be shortly.

Chinese are also talking about mixing those existing ones. And they some 5 of them. Sinovac only being of of them.

I don't see any reason to bend on one vax or against other.

Might turn out narrow minded
