Cancel Non B visa and Work Permit outside of Thailand and Apply for Non instead

Hi, I’m a Thai woman, humbly asking for an advice on behalf of my husband. 
 

My husband is going to have his Non-B visa extended for work in July. And we are planing to leave Thailand for UK to visit his family after that. 

 

I was wondering, if he could cancel his Non B Visa and Work Permit outside of Thailand, and apply for Non O visa based on marriage (Marriage visa?) instead in the UK before we come back to Thailand again in August?

Does your husband want to keep his work permit so he can continue working?

He does not have to get a non-o visa before applying for a extension of stay based upon marriage instead of applying for one based upon working.

If still working he can use his income from working to meet the 40k income requirement for the extension based upon marriage.

Nah, he plans to leave his job, but can’t tell the employer now because he also wants his bonus. Thank you so much for your reply.

Thank you very much for your reply. He plans to leave his job while we are in the UK, but cannot tell the employer in Thailand now because he also still wants his bonus. Is it possible to cancel the Non B Visa and Work permit at all while we are abroad? Thanks again. I really appreciate it.

If he has a valid re-entry permit he might not be able to get a non-o visa.

When he applies for his extension in July he should not get one.

He would not have to cancel his work permit and stop working if he changed to a extension based upon marriage.

A extension and work permit cannot be cancel while outside the country.
