May 11, 20214 yr Hello, I am planning a trip to Thailand and wanted to clarify the current entry requirements and trip-extension options. I am planning to enter under Visa Waiver and I wanted to find out its its possible to extent my visit for additional 30 or 45 days (like it used to be prior to COVID-19) And if allowed to extend can I have my returning flight approx. 75-90 days (45+30 or 45) from time off arrival or does it have to not exceed 45 days at the time of entry? Any help and info is greatly appreciated.
May 11, 20214 yr Hi my advice is to contact the Thai embassy or thai consulate in your country of origin and ask for the details about the entry in Thailand at the moment. At least you can read their internet site where usualy the conditions are listed There is a forced 14 days quarantine at your cost and few nationalities and countries are not allowed to enter for now
May 11, 20214 yr Author Thank you. I am familiar with the current entry restrictions. My question is about requirements of the return flight booking and whether I could extend my stay past the first 45 days when entering under Visa Exempt entry (like it used to be before COVID-19).
May 12, 20214 yr Popular Post You will get a 45 day visa exempt entry that can be extended for 30 days. Embassies, consulates and immigration do not enforce the need for a onward ticket within 45 days. The airline you travel on to here can ask for it. A one way ticket to anywhere will be accepted or you can get a temporary onward ticket for $12 to $20. Do a search for onward ticket and you will see many sites for the them listed.
