From how many days before STV expiration can one start applying for a 90-day extension?

Featured Replies

I am in Thailand with STV. It expires on May 18.  What's the soonest date when I can apply for a 90-day extension?

Your visa cannot be extended. You can apply for a 90 day extension of stay for the 90 day entry from it.

How early you can apply for it depends upon the immigration office where you apply for it. Some will do them 2 wees early or 30 days at others.

The Visa expiry date is the last day you can enter the Country.

On entry you were given a stamp showing the date of entry and the date of which your permitted to stay. What is the date your permitted to stay until on that stamp?

June 18. (sorry I confused May with June in my original question)

So you entered Thailand about March 20th - correct?

I would apply for a further 90 day extension from the beginning of June. (14 days before expiry of stay).

That will take you to September and you can apply for one further 90 day extension.
