PHUKET: The number of daily new COVID-19 infections recorded in Phuket remains in the single digits, with the total number of cases confirmed by officials since Apr 3 climbing to 642 as of last night (May 26).

 

According to a report by the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO), officials confirmed six new cases yesterday.

 

In addition to the total 642 cases recorded in Phuket since Apr 3, six people received treatment in Phuket after contracting the virus elsewhere, said the report.

Yes, when you shut down most non-essential businesses and social gatherings cases go down to almost nothing...and the economy dies. The key will be what they do upon re-opening and cases naturally increase...panic and slam on the breaks or carry on with opening and vaccines as the way out of the pandemic.

Thats the big question, will be interesting to see what transpires if that happens.

It will happen.

Since one CAN contract Covid and presumably therefore spread it ,  even after 2 vaxes , there IS  going to be an outbreak not too long after reopening .

I'd rather say it depends on the quality of the vaccines used. Just my humble opinion.

A post using a foreign language has been removed.  English is the only acceptable language anywhere on ThaiVisa including Classifieds, except within the Thai language forum, where of course using Thai is allowed. Short Thai translation of technical terms is permitted in specialty forums.
