The Public Health Ministry said most COVID-19 cases found in April were caused by the UK variant, according to results from tests on 300 samples.

Department of Medical Sciences Director-General Dr. Supakit Sirilak said the UK variant appeared in 93% of the samples.

Regarding the South African variant, he said only 11 people in Narathiwat’s Tak Bai district were infected with this particular strain and they were under strict quarantine, in an attempt to keep this variant from spreading.

Dr. Supakit also said 62 people in Bangkok were found to have contracted the India variant. A search was conducted after 32 construction workers were found to be infected with the strain. However, he confirmed that the severity of the two variants does not vary much from other strains and the currently available COVID-19 vaccines are still effective.

I guess the problem they're facing is that it takes many weeks to reach full immunity, I read something recently that suggested 'immunity levels' continue to rise for 3 months.

In grown up words that is 'efficacy increases over time' and reaches its maximum potential around the 12 week mark.

I assume a 16 week gap in jabs should be a non issue then.....

Well, that 12 week period is only really complete 12 weeks after the second dose.

Most infections in April were caused by reckless, selfish and idiotic behaviour.

Just  like the driving then except  they  can't  transfer blame to another  nation.

I guess if you can blame something other than your own deficiencies it sounds better.

variants are being used to cover of vac deaths and  and the failure of the vaccines to prevent illness from covid 19

The majority of people in hospital with Covid-19 in East Lancashire have received a vaccine dose, a council leader has said, as ministers were criticised for “blaming” a resurgence of cases on people who had not yet had the jab.

Mohammed Khan, the leader of Blackburn with Darwen council, said six of the nine coronavirus patients in the region’s hospital had received at least one jab. Only three of the Covid patients at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS trust had not received a jab when they were eligible, Khan told the Guardian.

Soon as i saw he " told the Guardian" i gave up ,left wing woke begging rag.

The UK did not say that (well not openly) about the last variant they  got in NW England... so I doubt it will this time either.
