I hope to hell they replace the whole syringe, but it depends on who "they" are  I suppose.  I was reading about the whole lead-up to these inoculations.  Not just the vaccine itself, but procuring vials, syringes and other necessary sundries in massive quantities over the past year.   Boggles the mind.

Plastic syringes are single use disposable items and both they and the needles should go in a special sharps box for safe disposal.

However, depending on where it is being given ..............................................

If you can see the previous person being given the jab and they don't put syringe and needle in a yellow plastic box after giving it you would be right to be worried. I doubt the plastic syringes can be autoclaved ( the heat would melt them ) and the needles can't be sterilized at all.

BTW, no one should be removing needles from the syringes after use as that puts the giver in danger of a needlestick. We didn't even put the caps back on the needles and just put straight into a sharps box.
