Area to the east of Pattaya

Featured Replies

I realise this is a long shot, but hopping to better tack down a location to the east of Pattaya.

I was driving out of either Jomtien or south Pattaya and became "temporarily unaware of my position" late at night trying to get back to the Sri Ratcha. I turned onto a street and it was like I had entered a new dimension.

the road / area was clean

there was little to no "power lines"

and something I'd not seen anywhere in Thailand before - the street lights were all LED.

Does anyone know where this may be or did I just momentarily pass out... I'm guessing it was around... 15 min east of the main road.

Sounds like Thung Klom-Tan Man 9 (Google Map name) which passes by Tara Pattana International school. They renewed this road about 1-2 years ago. One of my favorite restaurants is there, Vespresso, a gem with a Swiss owner. On the website, the street is called "Pattanakarn Road"

Excellent. I've just looked at some street views and that is looking very much like it is the area. Had a "chrismassy" feel to the place. Spot on. Wow - thanks for your help.
