Vaccines approved fro Sandbox

Featured Replies

What vaccines are approved for the Sandbox?

I believe its vaccines APPROVED by WHO and or vaccines approved by Thailand

I got this from Emirates website

Its slightly old, but we could use this as the last published list, approved middle to end of April.

unless someone has another more offical list.

Passengers travelling to Thailand between 1 and 5 May who have received any of the following vaccines at least 14 days before departure and can present their vaccination certificate are required to undergo a 7‑day quarantine:

1.       Pfizer BioNTech

2.       AstraZeneca

3.       Covidshield (Serum Institue of India)

4.       Johnson and Johnson

5.       Sinovac

6.       SK BIOSCIENCE AstraZeneca

7.       Moderna

8.       Sinopharm

I've not seen a more updated list.  I do wonder if Sputnik V would be on the list.  It's not approved by the WHO but reportedly there's a plan to import it into Thailand.  While those are two different issues, recognition of the vaccine and allowing it to be administered in Thailand, it's hard to imagine a case in which Sputnik V would be allowed to be administered in Thailand and yet Thailand not recognize Sputnik V as an approved vaccine for people entering Thailand.

The list from Emirates websites has been taken from Thai Authorities, which use a combination of WHO and Thai Authorities, so some Vaccines DON’T have WHO approval (yet) but have been approved by Thailand.

My vaccine was listed on the COE website, but it wasn’t recognised in early April.

So I had to do the FULL quarantine in April (10 days) instead of Vaccinated 7 days which was the New plan in early April.

SINOPHARM I believe now its approved by WHO
