Replacing a capacitor.

Featured Replies

My 18" stand fan is slowing down. If l change the capacitor does it need to be exactly the same?

The original in the fan is 1.5uF but mistakenly bought 1.8uF.

I'm not even a novice with electrical appliances so just want to make sure it doesn't cause a fire during the night

Thank you.

Should work just fine.

I would still replace it with the right one soon, it's not like they're expensive.

Thanks Crossy, I'll find the same uF and yes it was 55 Baht.

Won't burn but have less performance and motor heating up more?

(my 18" has 1.8 uF)
