Looking for clarification in regards to O/A visa and COE Insurance Requirements

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am getting ready to apply for an O/A visa at the L.A. Consulate, but am confused about the insurance requirements. In the O/A visa application instructions it states that a health insurance policy with 400,000 baht of coverage is required. But then in the COE instructions it states that a health insurance plan of 100,000$ U.S. is required. I am at a loss as to which is actually required. In the same line of questioning, is there a requirement for a separate Covid insurance policy required also?  Thanks in advance for setting me straight.

You need the 40/400k baht medical insurance for the OA visa application.

You also need the $100k covid 19 insurance to apply for a certificate of entry.

Some Thai insurance companies are offering  policies that meet both requirements.

Sorry to be a bother....but I assume that if a single plan is used that also covers Covid, the total coverage of the health insurance plan must be 100,000$ U.S.?  The plan I am thinking of using does not state a separate coverage limit for the Covid coverage which is included in the plan. Thanks again.

Up to 75 years old initial policy renewable to 99.

Note it is for medical and covid 19 insurance.

If you only need the covid 19 insurance the age limit is 99 as myself and others have proved to you.
