BANGKOK (NNT) - Airports of Thailand Plc (AOT) remains hopeful that by next year, Suvarnabhumi Airport will be among the world's top 50 airports. Consistent improvements to the airport's facilities and services over the last ten years have boosted its global rank from 68th in 2023 to 58th in 2024, according to the Skytrax World's Best Airports ranking.

Thai police recently made a major dent in the online gambling world by shutting down two illegal betting websites. The mission, known as ZERO BET, resulted in the confiscation of cash and luxury goods amounting nearly to 10 million baht (US$270,000) in cash, and goods valued at over 60 million baht (US$1.6 million).

Additional firefighters dispatched to battle fire at paper recycling facility

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has dispatched 10 more fire trucks and around 30 firefighters to Samut Sakhon province this morning. The crew was sent to help extinguish a fire at a scrap paper recycling facility.

Female Boxer Arrested for Attacking a Teen in a Jealous Rage in Buriram

A 26-year-old former female boxer has been apprehended after she allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old girl she believed was interested in her ex-partner during a Songkran festival party. The girl, known as Aswarin, sustained severe injuries after the ex-boxer, who was reportedly intoxicated, used Muay Thai moves on her.
