Applied one month early.  OK I managed to make the application after 61 signatures not including the wife's, was told not to reduce money in bank until extension is granted, last year this was not mentioned. Some new staff no men, but plenty of men in and out plain clothed with beer guts, was informed one male IO had been booted out for corruption (not collaborated though). Seems a new rule for retirement  is now photos required as well ! More details on hand drawn map now also wanted. Attached the updated rules.

I applied in Chiangmai 35 days before my expiry and was told I could not reduce my bank deposit below the minimum until my extension had been stamped in my passport. New rule, I was told. I was also instructed to bring my bank book for inspection when returning at the end of the "under Consideration" period. I returned on the due date and presented my bank book along with my passport and receipt. The bank book was declined, "what is that for ? " asked the clerk and my passport only was taken and returned stamped.
