Living in backstreet, I looked foreward to the nights entertainment,

lots of disputes, partys, once we saw a farang chased up the street

by his wife wielding a sword, another farang hanging his wife over

the balcony. Man, it really comes alive at 4am. great stuff! Love it.

I’m not a big fan of Russian Neighbors, they just don’t give a rats ass , Screaming in hallways , up all night drinking , where they come back from who knows , fighting constantly, music blaring , slamming doors , aire their dirty laundry in hallways , Obnoxious most of them

Neighbors are sometimes a bit noisy if they sit together and drink. One woman has such loud noise it scares you ????

But they are finishing early, never later than 9pm. After that it's currently just frogs and always cockerels in the morning.

Nope, nearest neighbor 400m, everywhere dead quiet, and most shutdown by 9pm

Nothing moves again until 4am market.

Advantages of living in the sticks ! ????

Same same. I have a bigger problem with the 6am farm trucks. The neighbors have a huge karaoke system but they are usually in bed by 10pm. It is a small village so everyone walks to the market. Parties start at 5 and end at 9.

A little Wagner around 10am would be nice for them, try the Ring Cycle.

Circus workers get out of work late at night...

a good clown can demand good pay.. and you have so many together...

"a good clown can demand good pay.. and you have so many together..."   Exactly. The unelected "PM" and his soldiers. ????

We live on a very nice estate and our houses certainly weren't cheap.

4 MB is cheap.

A crying child? It is said to have evolved to be so annoying it makes you do anything to stop it.

Well maybe, but here in Thailand we know its not barking dogs or crowing roosters. Would be fun to get more below their level selfish level to get really under their skin.

The most annoying noise for me is not loud, its what is referred to here as jungle hum, it is similar to a fridge running all night and early morning, no way of tracking its direction or source, just having a fan on makes it disappear though. Neighbors are not a problem, closest 80 mtrs away has party's sometimes, but jovial sounds of people having fun (a pleasure to my ears), no load music and dead quite by 10pm.

that may be the next option for me mate.

It seems to be the only way I will ever be truly happy here.

Nah. They'll start a rock grinding plant next door.

The OP is IMO why one should never, never, never buy property in LOS. Renting really is the best option.

I hate dealing with landlords here.

Been there, done that, got a wardrobe full of T'shirts.

Owning property gives you a certain freedom that cannot be replicated.

I never had a problem with a landlord. You must have been unlucky.

In LOS one never knows when one's perfect nest becomes the devil's hell hole.

Absolute nightmare......renting is the only answer.......unless you have the money to buy a small estate plus razor wire and Dobermans

I did  but without  the razorwire or  dogs, you need a fence  wall or everyone thinks  they have the right to come in and help themselves to anything without one. It doesnt guarantee  silence though,  oh no, you can still  get thud  thud  thud  thud  music from km's away, 18 rai land, Opposite  have laso  just started  building a massive warehouse structure, think its  going to be for MILK ie  cows so hopefully wont be too  bad, although the workers may decide that they need  24  hour  music and dogs barking etc

already got one mate with a Marshall amp to boot!

Might give them a healthy dose of Deep Purple for 3 hours straight tomorrow (6am - 9)

Nah...Opera, the loudest soprano you can find singing anything composed by Wagner.

Inhuman, I know but "Deep Purple" just bounces off these type guys.
