Thai people returning to Thailand

A Thai lady friend told me that for some reasons Thais are not allowed to return to Thailand, her daughter in the UK is trying to come back and was told she can't, anyone knows more on the subject?...

Could be wrong I thought I read the Sandbox was not open for them and the government is going to stop paying for their ASQ.

There is no prohibition for Thai nationals to fly to Thailand. Someone in the romour mill must have misunderstood something.

Yes just BS. Any Thai citizen can fly home to Thailand, but must satisfy the covit procedures before boarding, and from July 1st all Thai citizens must also pay for their own 14 day ASQ hotel and associated costs (which is compulsory for everyone entering Thailand). At this time all Thai citizens enter through SUV.
