My Dad hated street lights.  It's supposed to be dark at night.

It's easy to see why they are going with these fancy lamp posts, an ordinary LED light and a normal post could be easily  priced, so not so easy to skim off the top, would like to see what t

I don't see that you could ever have too many fancy lampposts.....bring them on. Thailand.....the hub of fancy lampposts.

Must be some serious kickbacks to be had out of contracts like that. Meanwhile folk are starving, bloody sick spending money on stupid lamp posts.

This is about Thailand and not the UK. Surely there is a UK chat group to express those distant and irrelevant views.

Calm down dear, calm down.

The local council put these in not long after the road had been resurfaced, looked nice for a couple of weeks while they all worked, about as much use as a chocolate fireguard now.

......and take a close look at them. They are standard lamposts, with a cheap tin box at the bottom, cake decoration up the pole, and a metal rivetted basket at the top. A splash or two of paint, job done.

Many are positions less than 6" from the HT powerline running alongside the road. Really safe job.

Who in the name of Satan let this fellow loose on the purse?

C'mon PM get your sh!t together and get rid of this insane person , let him pay for the  lights and then put him in jail.

In that case lamposts should be installed every 5m even where there are no people. ????

Thank goodness someone had the foresight to put vests on the busty Kinaree figures. I for one would be deeply offended, no, even traumatized if they had been shown topless.

Honestly, this is NOT a gee-up. What company makes these? I want to buy one for in front of my house. Would look awesome & match the antique Thai postbox.

Maybe they are preparing for the return of tourists.  They need a lot of lamp posts properly spaced for social distancing.

Well the middle of the field certainly qualifies......

surely since BangPhli is a "Sub-district" then the new lights should be decorated with little golden "Sub-marines" ?
