Bangkok 28 day quarantine ?

Featured Replies

Meaning that if you opt to quarantine in a Bangkok hotel for 14 nights and after travel to your hometown / village where you have to quarantine for another 14 days ? so in total 28 days . Is this correct cos it seems like ott to me ? I am aware of the Phuket sandbox and also know that the rules can be changed at any time .

No.

Technically it is correct. Whether you come to Bangkok to do your 14 days, or do 14 days in a sandbox, many many places around Thailand will still insist that you do 14 days in your hometown.

So you're basic question is a math question?

Is 14 + 14 equal to 28? Yes.

Current ASQ, without sand, is 14 days.

Any susbequent quarantine would be up to your hometown/village/district/province.

The current situation is very fluid.

Some locales may have a 14 day quarantine based on where you came from in Thailand (red zone), usually 'casual', but these may be waived based on your previous quarantine.

The obvious answer is to check with your local village authorities.

Try to pick an ASQ outside a red zone?

I can only speak about Chiang Rai.  If arriving from a deep red province there is a 14 day quarantine unless you have proof of being fully vaccinated or have a negative Covid test within 3 days of travel.

As mentioned by a previous poster, requirements can change on a daily basis.

Most villages that allow you to enter from Bangkok will let you do the 14 days in your own home.If anybody else staying ther you have to kick them out.

We have done it in our little house & is actually very peaceful, just lock the gate &

have total privacy

There are some now (Surin) that will not even let you enter until have had 2 jabs

Thanks , I know that Buriram are strict on visitors coming from BK and insist on 14 day quarantine , so I guess the same may be in Surin ?

I am reading that the virus is taking hold in the Buriram & Surin provinces , is that correct ? MIL just had here first AZ vaccine in Prasat hospital and my g/f has jab booked for early August  . Do you know if a vaccine is available to buy in the Surin private hospital named Ruampaet Hospital ?
