Unvaccinated at-risk British Nationals in Thailand Invited to Connect With BCCT

Over the past weeks the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) has been contacted by many British passport holders residing in Thailand for updates and advice on the current vaccination situation in Thailand. At the same time, we have become aware that some, particularly those at greatest risk from Covid-19, have not yet been vaccinated and have been unable to register to be vaccinated.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand said on Wednesday it would import nearly four million doses of Moderna's mRNA coronavirus vaccine towards the end of this year and a further one million in early 2022, for use by private hospitals.

Experts call for Thai government to procure mRNA vaccines instead of Sinovac

The Infectious Disease Association of Thailand (IDAT) is calling on the Thai government to procure mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, instead of China’s Sinovac, citing concerns over the Chinese vaccine’s efficacy against new variants, especially the virulent Delta strain.

COVID alert for high-risk contacts on Bangkok-Phuket flight

Guidelines for travelers entering Thailand after its reopening

BANGKOK (NNT) - Phuket will reopen to vaccinated tourists tomorrow (July 1st), with Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, set to arrive in the province to oversee its reopening. The Royal Gazette’s website recently published the 26th emergency decree on requirements and guidelines for reopening the tourism sector in pilot areas, starting tomorrow.

Phuket’s natural attractions welcome limited numbers of tourists as island reopens Thursday

A night-time curfew has been imposed in Thailand’s southern province of Songkhla, from yesterday (Wednesday) until July 29th, amid ongoing daily new infections of between 133 and 216 over the past week.

The first phase of human trials of Thailand’s vaccine candidate, jointly developed domestically by the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) and the Tropical Medicine Faculty of Mahidol University, has produced a promising human response in the volunteers, according to Prof. Dr. Pannee Pitisutthitham, acting head of the vaccine centre of the faculty.
