Channel 7 News reported large numbers of people flocked to the local government offices in Hua Hin to register for Sinopharm vaccinations against Covid-19.

This was for people who could not register online or who didn't have smart phones.

A special area was set aside and there were facilities for waiting in a car park.

Deputy mayor Montree Chuphu said that the administration has purchased 50,000 doses of the vaccination for 25,000 people on house registration documents in the area. Those aged 18+ can apply.

Nine thousand of these in the first phase were done via QR codes online and 1,000 were allocated for those unable to go online and register.

Channel 7's report was based on Thursday and the registration process continued yesterday.

They reported that registration online suffered an early interruption and several other problems during the day due to the large numbers trying to register.
