Chiang Mai Government Center Ampher Building Kor Ror 2 A Heads Up

For any of you chasing a Kor Ror 2 in CM for a Marriage Extension at the main Chiang Mai Government Center Ampher building

 

My wife and I went there yesterday (Monday) and we were told that they do this document 

 

ONLY ON  EVERY FRIDAY 

 

They must be doing different  duties different days not to have so many people there for Covid. 

 

Although it was a downer to hear that traveling from Lamphun. This is where we registered our marriage 16 years ago. 

 

Agent appointment mid week  Yoinks

 

 

Later in the afternoon my wife went to Lamphun government center and she got one ????

 

Awesome wife  ???? Awesome Kor ror 2 

 

So just a heads up for anyone in CM

This has been the practice since they opened the new building 6 months ago.

Slightly off topic, but last year the IO doing my marriage extension told us that she didn't need a new Kor Ror 2 every year.  I was surprised and don't think I'd rely that other IOs would feel the same.

Reading from here knowing that you had to get it at the Ampher building where you oirginally registered your marriage I was really surprised she got one in Lamphun. 

 

Last year no problems

Living in Lamphun not up to date with things in CM 

 

I thought for sure Lamphun would have said go back to CM.
