Can you do PCR Test few days after receiving Astra vaccine?

Featured Replies

We are leaving Thailand and after getting 2nd shot of AZ, can i do PCR test?

Please recommend us hospitals to do PCR Test to travel abroad.

Thanks

Yes, you can.

Outside Bangkok, not many hospitals do PCR for travel purposes.  The Bangkok Hospitals in Udon, Korat etc do it.

In Bangkok, Americans like medconsult, it's cheap. 2800 same day results. I would prefer to go somewhere else because medconsult is not a safe environment,  crowded without social distancing.

Bumrungrad charges almost twice as much. They do it in the ER, much more professional ambience. Results come hours earlier than at medconsult. Bumrungrad can give you a hardcopy if you need that,  medconsult doesn't do that.

Sukhumvit Hospital does it as do many other private hospitals.  Prices usually 3000-4000. Not many with same day results.

In June I got my test done at WellMed in Bangkok, Sukuhmvit Soi 25.  I had the test done at 1 and had results the next day by 6.  They require an appointment so they can control the number of people waiting.

Are you sure you have to have a PCR test?

You didn't say where you were going to?

Many countries such as the USA now allow a lot of much less expensive tests.

Singapore. Without PCR Test, the carrier will not issue my boarding pass.

Wellmed sometimes doesn't keep appointments.
