PHUKET: About 7,000 medical workers on the island will start receiving their third vaccination injection as a ‘booster jab’ by the end of this week, Vachira Phuket Hospital Director Dr Chalermpong Sukontapol has confirmed.

 

“We have already been approved by the Ministry of Public Health to provide a third injection of vaccine as a booster dose for medical staff this week,” Dr Chalermpong announced during a press conference broadcast live this morning (July 21).

 

“We expect that about 7,000 medical staff will receive the third injection. Then by the last week of this month we will provide a third injection to officers who are at risk of being infected, followed by our brothers and sisters [sic],” he said.

In this case "brothers and sisters" is literally the official's brothers and sisters rather than the Thai euphemism meaning "everyone else".

With Sino-rubbish in their arms already, they will need more than 1 booster shot i think...

rather than giving vaccines to people who didn't get any shots, let's just waste it on unnecessary booster shots... typical Thai mentality

So yet again, the completely sealed island of Phuket, which has very few Covid cases, is given 7000 doses of AZ for all it's already vaccinated medical staff, ahead of all those people who have yet to receive one shot of any vaccine!  Outrageous malpractice by any standard!

Not recommended by WHO, but governments have superior knowledge to the experts....
