OUCH !    i would guess you are under 60.    Under 50 ?     I do agree that so many guys really have had

IMO  pretty dull lives.    Yeah,  on the internet they can embellish it  , most do.

I'm getting older, but still a couple decades to go before I hit 50. I'll get there eventually though. I think.

This is fair. Most people are drone-like NPCs with no vision and no courage. Just look at this place lol, it's full of people who've lived 60+ years and yet never figured out life.

Explains why you see so many posts here that say stuff like "I don't think this is a lockdown. I haven't noticed much change in my day to day life." Stuff like that says way more about the poster than about the lockdown. Levels.

Even when I was a married drone I managed a few adventures ........

Skiing in winter, USA, Canada, France, Italy, Switzerland

Scuba diving in summer, UK (full dry suit), France, Egypt, USA, Jordan, Israel

Then divorce and party from age 52 on ........

Never managed S. America, E. Europe, Oz or India, but went everywhere else.

Well that's great! Living a dull life has gotta be one of scariest things to me. Dead is better than boring.

Which ski field in the US? Skiing the powder was the only reason I ever wanted to visit the US, but never got around to it. I had to make do with St Anton.

I did apply to get a job at a Banff hospital, but decided not to go when I found out I had no job security. If a Canadian wanted the job I was sacked.

Lake Tahoe, 3 large Ski areas to choose from, too much snow!

Ski-ing at Banff was pretty good too, Mule deer walking down the high street in the day, and lots of night time bar activity.

You are sooooo lucky. NZ fields are so limited compared to America and Europe.

St Anton was amazing, but I was there at the end of the season and the snow melted after my first week. I visited St Moritz and Innsbruck instead, but not to ski.
