I wanted to know what are the additional benefits of having a WP in Thailand.

Months ago I was rejected by a major insurance company in Thailand for not having a WP. At the time I was applying for 'Accident insurance'.

I just asked the pink bank GSB about applying for a visa card using a WP and not having to pay the security deposit to them. I was told that I would have to show 6 months of salary into the account and then I can get one and not pay the bond on the credit card.

Anything else?

thanks

Social Security, ok I prefer private healthcare but it is a kind of insurance of last resort.

Helps toward Permeanant residency.

Can get car finance and mortgages.

Was offered a vacinne appontment for myself and family because my WP is BOI.

Can get local Thai prices in some places like tourist attractions.

Can open securities trading accounts in banks.

Can more easily get utilities in your name.

Can easily open bank accounts.

Credit cards too, which is point you raised.

Oh, and you get to pay tax.....
