If you read the report, you will see that the reason why the U.K is falling behind in vaccinations is because some people refuse to get vaccinated .

33 % of 18-30 years old choose not to get vaccinated .

The reason why the U.K is falling behind some other Countries in vaccination  rates is because of peoples choice and its nothing to do with Brexit

I never claimed it was.

However Brexiteers like to claim that the success of the vaccine rollout was because of Brexit. Which is plainly not the case.

It was actually .

The U.K were able to make its own vaccine without having to wait for the E.U.s approval .

We had made a vaccine , tested it to out standards , began making the vaccine and injecting people , whilst the E.U were sure and wanted more tests to be done

1.  Are you telling me I should not retire in a location of my choice....?

2. Are you telling me Brexit was forced on the UK and not from a citizen's vote....?

3. Are you telling me I belong to an extremist organization...?

4. Please tell me where I have posted insults left and right...?

Go for it.....I am waiting....

I was going to reply; but after reading the quality of your replies on this thread to others, I decide not to bother ..

It doesn't make someone a 'leftie' because they don't agree with you.

I honestly have no idea as to what puts someone on the left and what puts someone on the right. Do you? Enlighten me.

The stupidity is that we waste energy arguing amongst ourselves instead of working together. It weakens us as a nation. Don't insult someone by insinuating that they don't love their country. Explain to them so they might listen. I guarantee that if I insult you that you would focus on the insult and not on an intelligent discussion. So why insult as your introduction and subsequently?

It makes it look as if you are incapable of intelligent discussion.

Only if we had joined the EU's vaccine program. Something which was unlikely.

All that was done within the guidelines, regulations and rules of the EU, which the UK was still subject to at the time.

Anyone within the EU could have chosen to do as the UK did.

... and indeed work in Scotland though.

Last time I did that I put on 3 stone (19KG) in 3 years...

But what a 3 years :), even got to meet Oasis (Both Gallaghers) & Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders) during my stay at the Copthorne (As was on George Square) & experience a few nights out in Clatty Patts (Cleopatras)....

My favourite story was me driving from Warrington (NW of UK) to Glasgow to get on a coach to Blackpool for the weekend - It was a Scottish FA Cup FInal weekend (Rangers were playing Motherwell I think) but on the same day England were playing Holland so we hit every pub in Blackpool until we found one showing the Scottish FA Cup game... Jagged Thistle (Stripper Bar) what a day out ????

Happy Days ????

No, E.U citizens living in the U.K were allowed to stay and no one suggested that they should be forced to leave .

Erm....do you really have any clue?

I have many friends from the E.U and they were all in a panic.

Remember Fred Sirieix? Lived in the U.K. for 27 years; sent them his passport and National Insurance number. He's been in continuous employment and yet they wrote to him asking for proof of five years of residency. It's only because they realised he was famous after he was retweeted a thousand him that they called him and apologised.

ONLY because he is high profile. That and the Windrush debacle are nothing of which to be proud.

The U.K left the E.U on 31 st January 2020 and vacinations began about one year later , the U.K spent about a year working on making the vaccine without the E.U interfering

Surely you were subjected to torrents of abuse from the English hating Scots that roam the streets looking for people to beat to death?

I am assured this is the case by many of the Brexiteers on here.

Why were your friends panicking ?

Everyone was told from the beginning that no one would be forced to leave and they could continue to stay in the U.K after Brexit and all they had to do was register and that could be done online .

Absolutely no need to panic or be concerned

So you will not answer my questions in reply to your post, then go and ask me a question. ????

Now come on chap, it is no use going down "you are incapable of an intelligent discussion" road, that is just a cop-out.

Now you go back to the questions I asked you in reply to your assumptions.

Go for it....

Nah, the only "Sassenach Experience" I've ever had was with a bartender on Sauchiehall hall St who didn't want to serve me (I had just finished work & was wearing a suit & tie at the time), guy kept serving everybody around me but wouldn't even acknowledge me... I'm out with 6 (thirsty) Scottish lads & it's my round so, as you can imagine, that attitude didn't last for long...

The fact that it was Americans flying off the carrier which was being escorted by US ships and submarines no doubt looks impressive to the Chinese?

There was even a Dutch ship escorting the carrier because the Royal Navy did not have enough assets to do it on its own.

I see you are still running down the UK at every opportunity, you haven't changed a bit whilst I've been away....????

But, how do you know the UK did not have enough assets to do it on its own...

Do you have access to military/government files, or is it just another of your put downs on your country..?

Right so how many have asked to come back then?

They remain in the Commonwealth. I worked in West Africa in the 60's in Nigeria and Ghana. I can assure you that most local people wanted to maintain a close relationship with the UK. They were worried about the re-emergence of tribal wars with the Brits gone. Sadly, their worries were well founded.

Most likely that was nothing to do with you being English but because you were wearing a suit and tie ????

You are just making that up. You have no idea as to what they were told. Did you receive any of the letters?

Do you know how many were refused or how many were given 'pre settled status'? It definitely was not a straightforward as you attempt to suggest. These are not unintelligent people. They were stressed out and uncertain of the status. No need to do anything...oh now you need to do something. Will you get Settled or Pre-Settled or simply refused because you cannot gather the paperwork....

I have some people working for me in the U.K who are from E.U Countries and I followed the situation closely and I will not make any further comment unless you retract your statement that I was "making it up" .

Its rude and unacceptable  to accuse people of lying
