Lucked out also, as 1st house was built when ฿40/$1, so only cost $20k USD. Even better when I sold it, exchange rate was ฿29 ?/$1 and paid for in USA, US bank to US bank, so sold for $46k. That profit paid for the land (6 rai) & 2nd house. That sold, land appreciated silly to silly high priced, and paid for house, solar, BEVs we have now TH has been very good to us. THB has been stable now for past 15 ish year, @ ฿33+/- to $1 USD, with some nice highs the past couple years, 35-36-37 👍 Just hoping it stays where it is, till Trump is done. -

Actually, Biden restored the USA's reputation and stabilized its standing. The Trump collective believes that it can go it alone and does not need peaceful relations with anyone. What they forget is that the USA economy relies on exports. Keep alienating the customer markets and they will go elsewhere. Trump is going to ignite Latin American nationalism and he will be the first President in a century to unite Canadians by creating a seething rage against the USA. America is one step away from an internal civil conflict and Trumpians will regret being at war with the world when they start killing each other.- 1

Do you flaunt your wealth in Thailand?
And this will be my first rainy season spent in Bangkok. I figure April through September will be worth it alone. There's a Japanese Hotel at Thonglor BTS that you can enter directly from the train station that has a monthly rate. Not cheap, but what am I saving for at age 72? Yeah, I am def considering it. That would def catapult me into wealth-flaunting status, tho, and I live for Gamma Globule's approval. But Asoke is really yoga-central and that's a new interest and woman-meeting plan for me so.....
