Professor and his students rounded up at Korat drinks bash

Authorities on the lookout for Covid-19 violations in Nakhon Ratchasima were advised to check out an establishment in Techno Village Soi 30 Kanya yesterday evening. 

 

There the DOPA officials found 23 people aged between 20 and 35 years at a house converted into a bar called 16 Bar Cafe.

 

Everone was drinking alcohol without in contravention of the Covid-19 rules. 

 

There was no social distancing or mask wearing.

 

The oldest person present and in charge was a professor from a local uni who said all the others were his students and this was the first time they had met like this.

 

Everyone was taken away and charged, reported Naew Na.

Of course it was, a residence converted into a commercial business operating no doubt without licences and the beer was free.

They gave it a name very quickly then. First time and named "16 Bar Cafe" and this by a professor. No wonder I don't trust academics.
