September 1, 20214 yr I'm booked to receive the Sinovac then AZ but I'm not keen on the mix, would it be better to wait for both AZ, Pfizer is now available but you need Medical Certificate and your Medical records, is it simple to get your records from a Private Hospital and would it be free!
September 1, 20214 yr Popular Post Stay away from any mix to start with and even worse any Chinese vax, the good vaxes are coming more readily available now so hold on for the good ones...
September 1, 20214 yr In my case I have been to four or five different private hospitals within the last 8 years. I would imagine that each one only has records pertaining to the particular reason/ailment I went to them for. I have also been to the local University Hospital in the last year, who knows what they have.........well only the stuff I have told them.

I've used 3 hospitals does that mean I have to get records from all 3?

September 1, 20214 yr Popular Post Each to his own I guess. I wanted to get the process rolling as quickly as possible so went for Sinovac (no choice), but then was offered AZ which I went for. Hopefully I have a degree of protection now and will look to back it up with Pfizer or metal free Moderna.

I think that is only if you have pre-existing conditions which then need to be proven. If I were you, say nowt. Or say you have high BP diagnosed by your local doctor/clinic = no records.

I know a lot of farngs who received the Pfizer all over 60 including myself and would strongly suggest Pfizer over the other two you have mentioned. If I were you I would check with your local Provincial Health Department as Udon Thani Provincial Health Department which is an hours drive from me, allowed registration on-site for farangs over 60, no pre-existing conditions required, albeit I have one, and then the shots were given at Raj University the following day.

September 1, 20214 yr Best, not so good, worst, what does it matter in the great scheme of things? So long as you avoid any of the Chinese produced <deleted>, (a lot of governments seem to have forgotten that it was those irresponsible morons who started this whole thing in the first place), anything else is a hell of a lot better that nothing at all, or arguing the odds and waiting for your 'choice'. I very much doubt that there is anyone on this forum who has the knowledge or expertise to answer the OPs question with any level of authority.

September 1, 20214 yr It was China that gave us the virus, i would not touch their "vaccine". You have waited 18 months, wait a few more for something that works.

I , as many also did, obtained 2 x Pfizer jabs from MedPark without work permits or medical certificates, ( med certs required if under 60 but work permits not required at all ) The hospital seems to be making its own rules.

September 1, 20214 yr If you need health records consider going to a local hospital or clinic to get a "health checkup." It is a good thing to do anyway. They check your blood, weight, BMI, chest x-ray, urine and probably an EKG all for around 2000 THB with a brief talk to a doctor. Of course you can get more elaborate testing done also for more money. You can go in the morning fasting with no food and be out by lunch. Easy.
September 1, 20214 yr 1 hour ago, Badrabbit said: ⁸there is a list of conditions one of them being over 60, think I'll give it a miss and wait for AZ(both Jabs) I saw someone at McCormick hospital getting two jabs of Sinovac, I was surprised and so I asked him how did he manage that, he said he exchanged with another guy who wanted two AZ through a verbal agreement. So you can also ask for two AZ if you can find someone who wants two Sinovac doses in the long queue. Ignore some of the comments here who said 'nobody wants Sinovac'.
September 1, 20214 yr 50 minutes ago, Victornoir said: Like many here, you naively spread the geopolitical propaganda which consists in defending the products of your camp and devaluing others. In reality all the vaccines validated by the WHO are more or less equal with differences which are more due to the protocol (arn, antiviral ...) than to the producing country. https://www.thestar.com.my/aseanplus/aseanplus-news/2021/08/18/two-sinovac-doses-98-effective-against-death-severe-symptoms-thai-expert “Comparing 598 samples of infected patients who have never been vaccinated, the Sinovac jabs have shown 98 per cent efficacy in keeping patients from developing severe symptoms and or death.” This video below is more balanced and not biased. Clinical trials held under different countries, different times, different conditions, different sample sizes aren't a fair comparison.
September 1, 20214 yr 22 minutes ago, Victornoir said: "A recent analysis of 4 clinical trials in the United Kingdom, Brazil and South Africa confirms the efficacy of the AstraZeneca vaccine: 76% from the 22nd day after the 1st dose and more than 82% when the two doses are separated by 12 weeks (Source: Lancet Study. 2021 March 6-12; 397 (10277): 881–891). https://www.hospitalia.fr/Le-vrai-bilan-de-l-efficacite-du-vaccin-AstraZeneca-Et-les-dangers-du-principe-de-precaution_a2634.html (sorry for language) You see, this French study announces AZ 82% efficient against 67% for your example, 2 very different figures for 2 studies on the same subject. It is probable that with 10 studies we would have 10 equally different or even contradictory results. In reality I think that we do not have a quarter of the information necessary for an objective judgment and that our only choice is to trust the specialists or to retreat into an isolated cave. Soo, I confirm that it is a little incongruous to announce an alleged total ineffectiveness of mixtures of vaccines in general and of Chinese products in particular. That's why I said, if done in different countries, different conditions, different time, the percentage will change. A clinical trials done in a sparsely populated country like Australia will have higher efficacy than done in a densely populated country like Indonesia or India because the chances of getting infected is higher in densely populated areas.
