An infamous bend in Samut Sakhon is in the news again after what looked like a great piece of parking or a highly dangerous maneuver.

Though it was far more likely that the driver had lost control on "Khong Ling" or Monkey Bend.

A video shared by Thai Rath showed the dramatic moment that a black car drifted into the forecourt next door to a motporcycle dealership in Phan Thai Norasingh district.

The car came within inches of killing an old woman who was nonchalantly wheeling a cart along the road.

Later in the video the driver drives off as if nothing has happened.

A post from the motorcycle company that had the CCTV said this was the third incident to their knowledge.

Thai Rath dug up footage from a previous one they said was in May this year when a car slid into the dealership damaging six motorcycles and other things.

They too lost control on the bend.

Meanwhile a popular fan page said that barriers at the bend were removed after a motorist was killed there in another incident.

They highlighted the danger of the bend suggesting that signage warning people to slow down should be installed.

Absolutely criminal behavior.

I hope they can be traced and 'dealt' with.

Just checking out the latest model Wave's, nothing wrong there.

[granny should have got out of the way sooner she nearly caused an accident]

Saw that clip a long time ago - not new

The security camera stated 28 August 2021, to me that is not long time ago. But you might refer to the older accidents in the same video?

In any normal country, countries where people have to demonstrate that they can drive before getting a license, people know that if there is a bend they need to slow down. But putting signs up to remind them would be a waste of time in Thailand. What they need to do is put a few 'sleeping policemen' (not the real-life Thai variety) on the road to force them to slow down so that they don't tip the passengers riding illegally in the bed of their pickup being bumped out and onto the road.
