CCSA Maintains Curfew, Dark Red Zone Provinces

BANGKOK, Sept 10 (TNA) – The Center for Covid19 Situation Administration (CCSA) meeting on Friday decided to maintain the number of dark-red provinces of maximum and strict controlled zones at 29 and the current curfew hours from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. in those provinces until Sept 30 said CCSA spokesman, Taweesin Visanuyothin.

 

Thailand on Friday reported 14,403 new coronavirus cases and 189 more deaths over the past 24 hours. 15,610 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Curfew is needed to stop the new Thai variant covid strain known as the night strain (Omega) know to only infect between 9 to 4 and is currently only in certain provinces. Glad the CCSA is all over this strain.

CCSA maintains curfew until Sep 30 in Red provinces

 

 

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has maintained an order against traveling beyond one’s home between 9pm and 4am until September 30, in the 29 Red provinces.

 

At today’s CCSA meeting chaired by Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, an adjustment to measures was discussed ahead of the two-week mark since the most recent change to protocols, on September 14. The adjustment accounts for changes to vaccine dispersal in October to include children, and to zoning in accordance with the Ministry of Public Health suggestions.

 

The meeting decided to maintain the 29 red zone provinces, 37 maximum control provinces, and 11 controlled provinces as well as their respective measures.

 

Among them is the curfew barring travel outside the home between 9pm and 4am, a call for offices to utilize Work from Home arrangements, and a shuttering of entertainment venues. The CCSA called for the imposition of COVID Free Settings and for Universal Prevention to be promoted.

Ridiculous the way they mash up the categorisations. I thought the 29 were dark red and the other colours seem to have been dropped from the vocabulary.

COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, zoning maintained until end of September

 

 

Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, has decided to maintain the 9pm to 4am curfew, the Executive Decree and all existing lockdown restrictions, including working from home, in the country’s “dark red”, “red” and “yellow” zones, until the end of September.

 

Contrary to speculation, that further easing of restrictions would be approved as the pandemic situation is showing signs of improvement, CCSA spokesman Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin told the media today (Friday) that the CCSA made no changes after being shown the latest forecast that daily infections may surge to about 30,000 were restrictions to be further eased.

 

Instead, he said the CCSA decided to tighten measures, such as such as working from home, travel controls, increased screening with antigen tests and implementation of COVID free settings, to prevent a resurgence of infections.

There is only 1 bar here - definitely closed and the street food places are scared of the cops.

I don't drink at home so a bit of a dry spell

I did a medical trip from a Mekong river province all the way to Pattaya and back.

I observed the curfew, registered the trip with the government website (and got a QR code, one outbound, one homebound) and drove 750kms (one way, that is).
Upon return back home I also observed the home quarantine (as I live on large piece of land, I usually leave home two, three times a month; not more). 

I'm out of officially instructed quarantine and can tell you, that:
- 1'500kms of interprovincial highways (Road 212, 2, 304, 331, 3240) through 14 provinces there was not a single check-point anywhere
- convenience stores at petrol stations open as usual, food and beverage available everywhere
- nobody checked, upon my announced return, if I would observe "home self quarantine"

- while I was in "self quarantine", my family members could come and go as they wanted without any screening/hinderance

For me, all this is nothing but governmental lip servicing combined with scaring the <deleted> out of some people who still believe in the daily, sometimes twice daily announcements, updates and "breaking news". While all the rhetoric goes on in Bangkok, the people - as usual - completely ignore what is said and explains, why actually very little works in this country. Rules, laws and regulations are written for the sole purpose of being flatly disregarded, bent, broken or ignored! 

Let's see what the boys have up their sleeve to move the 1 October opening of Bangkok down the calendar ????

Since many of the factories are being shut down due to outbreaks there is now a shortage of hair dye.  Hopefully due to this fact there might be less B.S. interviews each day?????????
