Thai media reported that the doctor had come up with six measures to stay safe in the monsoon season and help with the after effects of flooding. It came as the storm called COSON hit. Vulnerable people - especially those in low lying areas and along rivers should be especially careful. They were advised to follow news bulletins carefully. Stock up on foods like dry goods, tinned foods and drinking water as well as medical supplies and rehydration salts. Torches, bin bags, candles and emergency numbers should be at hand. They should be familiar with local emergency procedures and have Plan B when it came to children, pregnant people or the aged and infirm. Pets should be considered and electrical supplies such as a generator and sandbags might be worth considering. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-09-13 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

Where will grandma and grandpa who watch the grandkids in their tiny shack obtain the funds to purchase a generator and such. Most of the pets are not truly pets but roam the neighborhood coming home at night in the small villages to become an alram system when a thief or anyone either walks by or enters the property. He should have told those folks to also ensure they had a small plastic boat so they could paddle away instead of having to be rescued from the rooftops where they climb to.

I thought candles and torches were only used when chasing monsters like Frankenstein, along of course with the villagers wielding pitch forks as well.
