Thailand Remains on UK Red List

Featured Replies

Thailand is to remain on the UK Red List of countries.   Currently, should you wish to visit the UK from a Red Listed country, a mandatory 11 night stay in a hotel, at a cost of 2,250 pounds, will be necessary, plus two tests, one on the second day and one on the eigtht day.  It was hoped that Thailand would be removed from the Red List at the review notified on 17 September, but that has not happened.

i understand that that the UK review team do not consider Thailand is dealing with the Covid - 19 vaccination programme or its response to testing and indentifying possible new variants, in a manner appropriate to dealing with the virus. in a manner which would warrant removal from the Red List.

If my understanding is correct, then I foresee Thailand remaining of the UK Red List for sometime.
