Manager reported lively scenes at the ports sending tourists over to Koh Kood in Trat.

Four trips disgorged 1,000 people and more were expected to arrive on the beautiful Thai island today.

Restrictions at entering Trat were eased at the start of this month though people should have had one jab of Astra Zeneca or two of Sinovac to be eligible to enter the province.

With Mahidol Day being declared by the government as a special day off yesterday the Thais are enjoying a three day weekend.

How did they count?

500 on and 500 off the island = 1000
