ikke1959
It is easy to understand. They are promoting Rapid tests, and if you are positive and don't have severe symptoms than you don't need to do a PCR test and so no counted in the daily numbers..It is a way to keep the numbers low and increase the recovered, because if ths Rapid test patients are recovered we count them. It looks good, but it is all fake. So in fact today we had 16.300 positive cases .. I don't care how they check if you are positive or not. 99,9% of the Rapid tests are correct and if not the most cases are found in the tests that gives a negative result. But the Government want that everyone believes that they have it under control, but in fact it is still the same as a few weeks back and maybe cases will rise again in the coming weeks. Due to flooding, travelling while not or half vaccinated or lack of testing now.

If cases go up again I would imagine the comments will also reflect that. Here's the latest situation in Thailand analysis from WHO: "The number of laboratory-confirmed community COVID-19 cases reported is the lowest for more than two-months with the trend in declining cases continuing for nearly 6-weeks. This is welcome, however with an average of more than 13,000 case still being reported each day, there is a long way still to go with more than four-times higher number of cases currently reported on average than the average for the month of June (2,941 cases per day) during the height of the 3rd wave." https://www.who.int/thailand/emergencies/novel-coronavirus-2019/situation-reports

But the most fundamental mistake you have made is that vaccination does not prevent infection anyway. It's prime objective is to lower the severity of the illness. Well there is one comparison you can make and that is testing rates. Every expert globally will tell you the higher the testing rates the more dependable the numbers so conversely the lower the testing rates the less denpendable. Guess we all now where Thailand sits in this.

The lowering numbers was in-part due to the inoculation efforts of the government and the use of a Sinovac + AstraZeneca cocktail, according to an official at the Ministry of Public Health. https://www.thaienquirer.com/33250/make-peace-with-sinovac-if-thais-wants-to-get-back-to-normal-official-says/ Why should anyone make peace with and take a vaccine that has been seen by many to be inefficient at best with many of those vaccinated needing treatment for Covid like my GF's entire family of Aunts and Cousins. On top of that this government can see that it has not worked as efficiently as other vaccines but still keeps ordering it and then giving booster shots to those that have been double vaccinated with the CoronaVac. Now they are pushing a combination method wherein CoronaVac is given as the first jab and then followed up by the AZ vaccine as the second jab. I do believe that the Thai folks and others see this for what it is......

Close to 7,000 postive ATK results today yet these do not count. These are positive results. Tell a lie long enough and it becomes truth for those gullible enough to believe it. 4

Let's see. Even given that these are PCR tested and given that official daily infections remain around the same level, let's say 10,000 then a couple of days from now the official daily infection number should be around 17,000. Do you think this will be the case.

This has been explained a few times, the simple answer is no otherwise tomorrows figures would have an extra 6k plus cases and that does not fit in with PUI numbers that are published and hospital walk ins that are published. The detailed answer is that some will be added over the next few days, should any of those who tested positive needs to be admitted to a hospital for care. Aside from that those that test positive via ATK will be in home isolation, community centers or quarantine where they are not pcr tested. None of that affects or distorts the figures.
