Phuket Timeshare Scammers Still Active As Sandbox Re-opening Proceeds

Just a word of caution, the motorbike timeshare scratch ticket people are active in Phuket, even during this phase of the sandbox re-opening.  For those who are not aware of what this is or how they approach you, there is lots of info out there:  Here

Yesterday around mid-day during a break in the rain I was walking along Rat-U-Thit road to go get some food.   A caucasian man pulled up on a motorbike and asked me in a british accent, "have you had your ticket yet mate?"  Recalling reading about this scam I just told him, "Oh no" and waved him off, and he headed on down the road.  Not even five minutes later another man on a motorbike pulled up, and before he could say anything I waved him off and told him "No timeshares," to which he replied in an Indian accent "Why not?  You Americans invented it!  Donald Trump!"

So....be aware and protect your time (and your wallet).

Surprised by this, I haven't seen them in a long time.

Yup they back since the sandbox opened. Saw them many times. Same guys like before covid. They came out of their holes like tuktuk taxi minibus tattoo and tour scammers. Only the roguest crooks survived covid here and are still here. Watch your back sandboxlers!
