Banks say it like it is - TAT's figures for Thailand reopening don't match their forecasts

At this stage of the game, a few things are certain. Anything coming from the mouths of anyone in the TAT, or Prayuth, Anutin, and Phiphat is likely false, misleading or based on misplaced, misguided or totally fake optimism. Or simply a high degree of ignorance.

There comes a point in time where after hundreds upon hundreds of lies and broken promises, all credibility is lost. We have reached that point.

  • No it must be wrong....the Government forecasts never lie.....

  • Most of the "tourists" are people who have ties here, like children or a wife and want o get back.

  • 100K to 150K is realistic; take away all those returning home to families and/or work - go figure! All those visiting foreigners I usually see in winter half have chosen different destinations of Sri

Considering everything you know has it's origins in China [and other Asian locales].

Yes as a Brit we HAD an empire but I do not live in the past

I am talking about China now

I know these words upset the CCP agents here!

Maybe this is the time to make some strategic decisions. Make Thailand less reliant on foreign tourists and make tourism less important to the economy by developing modern industry.

The government's reliance on tourist is not a long-term plan as tourism destroys the natural beauty that attracted people here.

With a pretty poor record in education there really is not much chance of developing business unless education is improved, starting with the teachers.

What I love about TAT is their ability to multi task

They are sometimes lying, misinformed , ignorant of real world sentiment outside LOS .

Other times they are just incompetent wishful thinkers.

Often they can manage both sumulbrainlessly with wild forecasts of  Millions of hi so big spenders gagging to visit, manana...........................................or was it Ma Nana

To improve education, you have to want change, admit fault and also have a desire to learn from previous mistakes. It could even require asking none-Thais for help, which for many would be considered “losing face”

As this does in no way fit into the mindset of most Thais over 30 and for sure not those in power, there is no chance of things changing anytime soon.

So Thailand basically has the options of tourism, low cost production or farming. And that’s it, unfortunately.

IMHO they reached that point before, during and after the last general "election".

Simply, a way of life for these circles and get away with such because they can.

If only the people knew what they were really up to, and the crimes being committed.

Your assumptions that they don't leaves me to believe that you're not pay attention nor travel in real Thai circles.

They will have another huge chance to protest on Oct. 6th. Will they take it?
