BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand announced rules on Friday for its quarantine-free reopening to visitors from 45 countries, in an effort to revive an economy struggling to recover from the collapse of its vital tourism sector.

More private schools in Thailand to close due to pandemic related cashflow problems

About 70 private schools in Thailand have closed down during the past nine months, due to the impacts of COVID-19,and about 100 more are expected to follow suit, including 10 which have already notified the Office of the Private Education Promotion Commission about their decision to close.

The United States and Thailand are considering jointly providing humanitarian aid to Myanmar via the country’s border with Thailand, the Thai foreign ministry said Wednesday. The plan emerged from a two-day visit to Bangkok by U.S. State Department Counselor Derek Chollet earlier this week, during which he met with the Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai and other senior officials and discussed the post-coup crisis in Myanmar.

Health Ministry to roll out booster jabs for Sinopharm recipients next month
