webfact
Picture: Daily News Well known Thai policeman Lt-Gen Surachate Hakpan or Big Joke joined with human welfare police, marine cops and counterparts in Malaysia to anounce several arrests in two high profile cases, reported Daily News. The first involves complaints from a group of Thais who were rescued in Sihanoukville in Cambodia after a gang conned them into illegal work there. Around 15-20 people were kept prisoner after they were promised legitimate work in Thailand's neighbor but were forced to con their compatriots working at a call center instead. Arrest warrants were issued for ten people - four Chinese nationals, four Cambodians and two Thais. Picture: Daily News In two districts of Chiang Mai a Thai woman called Ubonrat, 22, and a Chinese woman by the name of Thienfong were arrested in connection with the racket. Police said the victims were held prisoner in appalling conditions before they managed to appeal for help online. Eight others are still being sought. In the other case Surachate announced the arrest of a man called Jepa, 54, wanted in connected with the smuggling of illegal migrants between Thailand and Malaysia since 2015. A Malaysian warrant was out for him since 2016. He is part of a wider gang involved in the demise of Rohingya migrants who were whipped to death. Malaysian police have found the graves of 30 such people in their country. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-10-23 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates Get your business in front of millions of customers who read ASEAN NOW with an interest in Thailand every month - email [email protected] for more information

WEBBYB808
Appalling conditions! What about the appalling conditions done to the ladies who work certain sois all day, and are with customers for money and money for the pimps (bar owners). This is human trafficking, Oh! But that's ok right? 1

Popular Post internationalism
never mind prosecution of thai navy for those rohingha boats towed away from shores into the gulf, disabling their engines and allowing them to drift from safety into ocean. never mind prosecution of remaining some 800 gang involved in murdering thousands rohinghyas burried in mass shallow graves along malaysian borders. Only 85 of them were sentenced. The rest got scot free, with the main investigator ordered by prayuth to move from bangkok to the south (for certain death) - he chosen to do a runner to australia and claim political asylum. Too many from top military were actively involved in this racket running for many years Edited October 23, 2021 by internationalism 5

Too many from top military were actively involved in this racket running for many years This article is a nice synopsis of the brutality practiced against Rohingya by many members of a variety of Thai government entities: police, military, immigration and many more. https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/people/article/3136087/thai-general-manus-kongpan-jailed-trafficking-rohingya-refugees An excerpt: ”In 2009, the South China Morning Post published a front-page story and photographs revealing that Manus had overseen the secret detention of Rohingya migrants on the island of Koh Sai Daeng before abandoning them to their deaths on the high seas. The report revealed that 538 Rohingya were dead or missing after the Thai army cast adrift nearly 1,000 refugees aboard unpowered boats in December 2008. Survivors on India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands told the authorities there of starvation, brutality and summary executions.” Another one: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-myanmar-exodus-specialreport-idUSBRE96G02520130717 “A Reuters investigation, based on interviews with people smugglers and more than two dozen survivors of boat voyages, reveals how some Thai naval security forces work systematically with smugglers to profit from the surge in fleeing Rohingya. The lucrative smuggling network transports the Rohingya mainly into neighboring Malaysia, a Muslim-majority country they view as a haven from persecution.” https://www.fortifyrights.org/tha-inv-2019-10-30/ https://www.irrawaddy.com/news/burma/30-thai-police-accused-trafficking-myanmar-migrants.html Turns the f***** stomach, it truly does. 3

He has arrested a man who was part of a gang since 2015 and who had malaysian arrest warrant since 2016 (so for over 5 years). Malaysians find 30 shallow graves, that is only a small part of total murdered, maybe only 10% of corpses were found. And that is only a small part of what true scale of slave trade is. Probably in tens of thousands. If he had searched good enough on the thai side of the border he would discover 10x more bodies. But his work remit is only to coordinate with investigators abroad. Not to start his own investigation. Those 3 low profile arrests are all he did in the last year, since returning to active duties. He has an elephant ticket and will be rising in ranks, as he was a rising star for many years. However, he is subdued by prayuth for trying to expose corruption with biometric system for borders. He is prawit protege, as soon as prayuth is gone and prawit will step into the PM shoes, big joke will be ready for key jobs. Yes, he is corrupted enough to be chef of immigration police once again. Possibly higher this time. His present achievements have nothing to do with what he will be in a year or two

He is far to shrewd and knows he is an utterly detestable person with few if any redeeming qualities...he is happy to sit behind and control things. You are the authority and everyone else is wrong. It matters not if you care less. Trafficking is trafficking and one could not get away with it in a industrialized ir western country. And far beyond reason one could expect one from the cancel cul such as yourself to attempt deflection and a sad attempt to elevate your stance on the matter. Wrong is wrong and we understand why you feel that way. I mean if the authorities were to actually enforce and prevent you from doing the things illegal and unlawful thiings you want, but can't in your country, then why would you come here and exploit thered. Just because bottom line just because you can see the jugular vein of the country and want to exploit it doesn't make it the right thing or not trafficking. Again keep telling yourself its not trafficking, better yet go to your home country and try to do it. Then see what the moral society thinks then.
