Windows 35mm headphones

Featured Replies

Can I plug my phone 35mm headphones into my Windows PC?

Can this be done with the USB socket or only just 35mm headphones?

Thank you

If your PC has a headphone jack then yes you can.

You mean 3.5mm.  They are different because the headphones designed for the phone have 3 rings + ground on the jack to accommodated mic and stereo headphone.  PC 3.5mm jacks only have 2 rings + ground for stereo audio but use a separate 2 ring + ground jack for the mic.   It should still work for speaker in a PC but it may not depending on the quality of the jack.  I don't think there is any harm in trying.

huh? you want to plug a 3.5mm headphone into an USB port? you must be kidding.

No I'm not kidding.

Could I use a 35mm splitter, that plugs into both 35mm PC sockets, with a female stereo socket?

Or a USB 35mm female to USB male?

Thanks

No audio goes via a USB DATA connection. The 35mm, minijack socket IS an audio output from a soundcard.

You could buy a cheapo USB - Audio interface, or an expensive one.

I'll check that out.

Plug 3.5mm into wondows pc yes if it has 3.5mm socket.

Usb can work but you need one of those small usb sound cards with the 3.5mm jack.
