The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) will organise insigHT2021, the region's top medical travel market intelligence conference, which will be held online between November 16 and 18.

The theme of insigHT2021 is Forging Resilience, and it will focus on how the global medical travel sector can remain resilient in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic's uncertainty.
Now in its sixth year, the conference has attracted a large number of international speakers and attendees who see insigHT2021 as a forum for strategizing and collaboration in order to sustain and grow the healthcare travel business.

"Due to lengthy lockdowns on both a local and worldwide scale, the global severity of the pandemic has posed various obstacles for the medical travel industry value chain. "It is critical that the medical travel industry translates lessons learned from COVID-19 into effective initiatives.
This is where insigHT comes in as a source of ideas to propel the industry forward," said Mohd Daud Mohd Arif, MHTC's Chief Executive Officer.
"However, if there is one lesson we can learn from the pandemic, it is that cross-collaboration is critical in speeding industry recovery and moving our nation's healthcare environment forward," he added.

As the conference brings together prominent speakers and experts from many sectors of the value chain to exchange insights on post-pandemic recovery methods and prospects for industry resilience, insigHT2021 is prepared to serve as a catalyst for cross-collaboration.
Live Q&A sessions with regional speakers, roundtable discussions, networking with professionals from many industries through private meetings, downloading e-business cards, and access to on-demand films from the conference are all available to participants.
Reimagining the health system, the future of healthcare and well-being, and reconstructing hospitality are some of the subjects that will be explored during the conference.

A distinguished lineup of speakers, including worldwide thought leaders and professionals in the field of medical travel, will present at insigHT2021.
YB Khairy Jamaluddin (Minister of Health Malaysia), Ir. Rizki Handayani, MBTM (Deputy Minister for Tourism Product and Events, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia), YBhg. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah (Director General, Ministry of Health Malaysia), Datuk Musa Hj. Yusof (Deputy Director General (Promotion), Tourism Malaysia), Nongyao Jir (L.E.K. Consulting).

"We will continue to create trust for Malaysia Healthcare as a thought leader in the industry through projects like insigHT2021.
During this phase of recovery, our top aim is to develop sector resilience through partnership with industry participants to create a more conducive and sustainable healthcare travel environment "Mohd Daud came to a conclusion.
